Ma wouldn’t have been happy with me and old Buck heading out so late but word was things was gettin’ pretty hot in town. Some colonel had road in a few days past askin’ fer volunteers to join the war effort. I knew me and Buck needed to be there to help out.⠀
The History
Tonto Natural Bridge is located 10 miles north of Payson, AZ. It is thought to be the largest travertine arch in the world. The bridge was first documented in 1877 by David Gown when he was hiding from Apache tribe members.⠀
